Ms Doaa Ibrahim
Co-Founder
EcoCyan

Doaa Ibrahim is a microbiologist and scientific researcher focused on regenerative
farming and plant-microbe interactions. Currently a Lecturer Assistant at Heliopolis
University and a Ph.D. candidate at Ain Shams University, her research focuses on
using cyanobacteria and plant-growth-promoting microorganisms to restore soil
health, increase soil microbial diversity, and help crops survive environmental stresses
such as drought and salinity.
Bridging research with practical application, she co-founded Ecocyan, an award-
winning startup with its flagship product "Cyanoboost"—a biofertilizer designed to
enhance plant growth and support climate resilience, which won the 2024
Regenerative Agriculture Venture Program.
Alongside her hands-on work with farmers, Doaa contributes to several international
EU- and PRIMA-funded projects. She combines scientific innovation with community-
based training on environmental sustainability to drive long-term ecological impact.
